Featuring wines from four of Burgundy’s finest female winemakers, this event will be led by connoisseur Amanda Skinner of Private Cellar, with an introduction by the renowned Jonathan Ray, author and wine editor of The Spectator, The Field and Spears magazines. Amanda Skinner’s 35-year-long career has been in the world of fine wine, from the vineyards of Champagne to London, where for over 18 years she and John Armit built John Armit Wines, to East Anglia, with a few detours to Hong Kong. Amanda has had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s greatest winemakers – taking a particular interest in their winemaking philosophy and wanting to act as a bridge from vineyard to glass. For the past thirteen years, as director of Private Cellar, she has continued to develop her client base; curate portfolios for wine collectors across the globe; present wines at tastings and dinners; work closely with a number of charities, advising on their wine requirements for fundraising dinners and events; assist the top Oxford and Cambridge Colleges on their wine collections; and run a very popular service for godparents wishing to establish wine collections for their godchildren.
