WLB Soho Mural
Re-live with our Blue Badge Guide Rachel Kolsky the Swinging Sixties when London was the centre of world fashion. From the trailblazing boutiques opened in the 1950s by Bill Green and John Stephen on Newburgh and Beak Streets, stores such as Mates, Lord John, Lady Jane with its live models in the windows swiftly followed on Carnaby Street with Stephen subsequently owning 14 within ten years. This tour traces the rapid development of shops for dolly birds and mods alongside the long established fabric trade nearby in Golden Square dating back to the 1880s.

Ending Place: near Liberty’s
