Curious Clapham: From Country To Civility

13 June @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Clapham

A tour of this unknown area of London, from its past to present: patches of long grass, nestled cottages and crumbling walls reveal Clapham’s pastoral past and provide a starting point to explore the area’s urban development from the 18th century to today. The visit, lead by Marguerite, our Blue Badge Guide from “LearnArtory”, will take us meandering through ‘Clapham Old Town’ and traversing the great ‘Common’, providing an illustrated discovery of the area’s most prominent monuments, churches, houses and hospitals which form the backdrop to a plethora of well-known residents, past and present.
