Join us for dinner in this celebrated restaurant, hosted by its founder and chef. Clarke’s Restaurant in Kensington Church Street opened in
1983 after seasonal food fanatic Sally Clarke returned from living and working in California. She was inspired by her mentor, Alice Waters of Chez Panisse, to open her own elegant restaurant featuring wonderful seasonal food and a superb Californian wine list, with Clarke serving as chef by day and maître d’ by night.
We shall take over the elegant dining room, with one long table for 16 KCWC diners, to hear from Sally about her favourite recipes and how the inspiration for her new cookbook, First Put on Your Apron, came from her university-bound son Samuel. This cookbook is a secret weapon for all cooks, whatever their age or culinary experience. We shall enjoy two thoughtfully selected courses from the new book and, of course, well selected wine and soft drinks. Sally will have books available for purchase and signing.
