Be ready for a kaleidoscopic experience! Our Blue Badge guide, Muriel Carre from LearnArtory, is taking us east to explore an ever-changing corner of Hackney. Old almshouses, the development of the furniture industry, railway tracks, lovely gardens, gentrification and the newly renovated Museum of the Home await us!
There, we will focus on style, taste, femininity and what makes a house a home, and it will be an opportunity to discuss the latest trends in museography.
In addition to Muriel’s tour , we are very pleased to have obtained a special visit of the Almshouse number 14 guided by the Curator of the Museum of the Home.
We will meet outside Hoxton Station (Overground), in the hall near the tickets booths. Our expected completion time is around 1.30 pm at the Museum of the Home (ex Geffrye Museum ) .
