Join Tim Potter for a tour following a cruise down the river to Greenwich, the UNESCO world heritage site. Greenwich was at the very centre of the scientific and aesthetic revolution that swept England at the end of the seventeenth century and great architects and scientists like Christopher Wren, Robert Hooke and Isaac Newton created a new vision of the world; ordered, rational and scientific. This tour  is full of history, dating back to medieval times, but above all it’s beautiful with some of the greatest sights in London.

We meet at Embankment tube (river exit)  catch the boat to Greenwich. We’ll cruise down the river for an hour during which Tim will prepare us for what we will see and its historical significance.   Among the sites are the great complex of royal buildings built by Christopher Wren and Inigo Jones; one of the most beautiful art galleries in London; and the place from which  time is measured as well as many others. We’ll end in a classic pub for a late lunch for those who want before cruising back to central London.

Lunch and transportation charges are at your own cost.
