Please join KCWC’s Contemporary Art group for a walk around the galleries of Cork Street in Mayfair.  With galleries reopening (finally!) and nicer weather (we hope), it is a great opportunity to get out and see some art in person.

We will begin our walk at Saatchi Yates Gallery, where we will have a private guided tour of their new exhibit ‘Allez La France!’.  The exhibit features works by Jin Angdoo, Mathieu Julien, Hams Klemens, and Kevin Pinsember and marks the first time these artists will be shown together in a gallery.  The collective made large paintings which resonate more with abstract expressionism than street art.  Their interest was in creating work that exists outside of museums, galleries and institutions – on display to the public for hours, days or weeks, depending on how quickly it was painted over.

After Saatchi Yates Gallery, we will visit at least two more galleries along Cork Street (specifics to be announced).  We will be masked, socially distanced and follow all government guidelines (this event is subject to government guidance as of the event date).
