Discover the people, the stories and the ancient institutions that helped to create the City as the great trading centre it is today.

Our Guide, Emma Krais  ,will  explain how the City has functioned since time immemorial and how its administration has been the blueprint for building a democratic governing body used the world over.

Highlights include a power house for citizens dating back over 600 years, a church garden where the City’s financial story begins and a Roman market place still selling goods today!
