Our Speaker Series guest this month is Sophie Conran, the only daughter of designer and restaurateur Sir Terence Conran and food writer Caroline Conran.

In 2004 Sophie created a supper club and catering company and in the same year she launched Sophie Conran Pies, a gourmet collection of handmade top quality pies which subsequently won 4 medals at the Great Taste Awards. This led in 2006 to the publication of her debut cookbook “Pies” followed soon after by a second book, “Soups and Stews”.

2006 also saw the launch of Sophie’s highly successful range of kitchen glass and tableware with Portmeirion. The range has won a number of prestigious awards and is now sold in 33 countries.

Sophie partnered with Arthouse in 2008 and developed a range of luxury wallpaper. In 2010 she joined forces with British cutlery manufacturer Arthur Price and launched her second full range design with them in 2016. 2010 was also the start of her relationship with Burgon and Ball and their ever-growing range of garden tools and accessories.

www.sophieconran.com continues to develop beautiful products that are cherished the world over and the Sophie Conran shop in Chelsea is Sophie’s personal homeware company. Launched in 2013, the brand has a 2 star rating in Trustpilot.

Sophie works with a range of charities including Macmillan, the Prince’s Teaching Institute and the Museums of Oxford.
