We are delighted to invite you to join University Woman’s Club for a special outing to the iconic London Coliseum on Thursday 26th October, 2023 from 6:30pm to experience the English National Opera production of the enchanting “La Traviata.”
This timeless masterpiece tells the story of the tragic love affair between the courtesan Violetta and the romantic Alfredo Germont, making it a must-see event for all opera and classical music lovers.
“La Traviata” is one of Giuseppe Verdi’s most celebrated operas, known for its captivating music and heart-wrenching narrative. Set in the vibrant and glamorous world of 19th-century Paris, the opera explores themes of love, sacrifice, and societal expectations.
Violetta, a renowned courtesan, falls deeply in love with Alfredo, a young and ardent suitor. Their passionate romance is hindered by societal norms, leading to a heartbreaking and dramatic climax that will leave you spellbound.
6:30 PM: Pre-show drinks in a private function room at the London Coliseum, where you can socialise and enjoy light refreshments before the Opera.
7:30 PM: Curtain rises
9:30 PM: Reconvene in the Sky Bar Boardroom for post-show refreshments.
Tickets: £62 for members and £66 for guests.
