Sotheby’s holds sales throughout the year, but the first week in December is when the most important sale of Old Master paintings occur. These drawings, works of sculpture and decorative art will all be displayed for a handful of days for viewing. Most of the pieces will be bought, so this is a unique chance to see them. We will be able to examine the objects up close and get a chance to handle them.
This is a unique experience – completely different from seeing the items in a museum. Come along and enjoy the glamour! The tour will be led by Chantal Brotherton-Ratcliffe, who taught at Sotheby’s Institute for 29 years. This tour will end at 11:45.
