It isn’t often that anyone not associated with the highest levels of equestrianism or racing gains access to the private Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket, a members only shrine to horses. But KCWC has managed to secure 6 coveted spots for this exclusive visit as guests of the BADA Friends.

The Jockey Club Rooms’ history features colourful characters from Nell Gwynn to Lester Piggott as well as an unparalleled collection of equestrian art and  racing memorabilia housed in its magnificent interiors. We will learn about this Club as well as the history of Newmarket and the Rooms themselves. Then it’s off to the delightful Committee Room to enjoy a fabulous Cream High Tea with four types of sandwiches, fresh scones and cakes including gluten free.

With easy access by road or train, you have time to make a day of it coming early to tour the National Horse Racing Museum just behind the Club on your own. There you will find more fine paintings especially in the Palace House where Charles II stayed on his many trips to Newmarket.
