The City of London’s Guildhall dates back to 1411 and has been the centre of the City’s government since the Middle Ages. Join us for a guided walking tour of this landmark building while we will learn how the City of London operates, its livery companies, and some famous events which took place within its beautiful Great Hall. With 27m high ceilings and a cathedral-like ambience, this historic building is situated on top of London’s largest medieval crypts, one 13th and the other 15th century which we hope to briefly visit. In addition, we will see the old Guildhall Library and time permitting, visit Guildhall Yard with the outside of the Aldermans Court and the outside of the Corporation’s church, St Lawrence Jewry.
