Again KCWC Antiques and Design is indebted to our friends at BADA for this invitation to tour the private members’ club, The Garrick. Founded in 1831, initially as a meeting place for theatrical and literary luminaries, the Garrick, not surprisingly, houses the largest and most significant collection of British theatrical works of art. Among the over 1000 paintings, drawings, and pieces of sculpture on display are works by Zoffany, Thomas Lawrence, and John Everett Millais to name a few. The tour will include all the main rooms of this private club and will point out the highlights of these collections as well as tales of famous members including Dickens and Gilbert and Sullivan.

Coffee, tea and biscuits will be served in the morning room on arrival prior to our tour. Please note, that as in all private members’ clubs in London, respect for a strict dress code is appreciated.  No admittance prior to 9:50 AM.
