Another new walk of our Blue Badge Guide Rachel Kolsky . This tour had been on the agenda for years and finally it has happened! With one of London’s earliest ‘container cities’ this neighbourhood is fast attracting interest following the arrival of the English National Ballet so you do not want to miss seeing it as it takes shape. Amongst contemporary artworks and brightly painted studios this tour showcases early immigrants to the US, the East India Dock Basin, lightships, historic workshops linked to Trinity House, the fascinating history of Bow Creek, the work of Michael Faraday and the Thames Ironworks, birthplace of West Ham FC.
