We have been invited to the home studio of artist Sandra Shashou in Primrose Hill. Shashou, originally from Rio de Janeiro, graduated from the City & Guilds of London Art School, with a focus on painting. She first concentrated on portraiture, with a number of commissions from prominent British politicians and intellectuals. In 2013, her art practice turned to sculpture. Currently working in her preferred medium of smashed fine china, she creates a very personal body of work using the abstract shapes of the china pieces and a myriad of colours.
We will meet promptly at 10:45am to walk together to Sandra’s home studio, where she will welcome us for a tour and a discussion of her work.
