We are thrilled to announce that we have Viscountess Hinchingbroke, aka Julie Montagu, aka the Youtube and Patreon sensation, the American Viscountess regaling us at our September Luncheon.
Julie has more than 220,000 Youtube subscribers and more than 512 videos as well as one of the most popular accounts on Patreon, the fundraising platform from which she launched her own production company.
She also presented for the Smithsonian Channel An American Aristocrat’s Guide to Great Estates, a popular factual documentary series.
She will discuss with us her incredible life-story as an all-American girl from Chicago who met her Viscount (without truly knowing who he really was…!) as well as the important discoveries that she has made through research on her husband’s great-grandmother Alberta Sturges, Countess of Sandwich, which has resulted in the largest private collection of any American Gilded Age heiress.
Join us at Kensington’s friendly neighbourhood Brasserie & Bar Maria G’s, well known for its delicious food and exceptional service.
We will start with a glass of Prosecco from 12:30pm, with a seated lunch at 1:15pm including a classic two-course menu and coffee. Accompanied wine at members’ own expense.
The room layout is not like a private club, there are many different table sizes. Please email Poppy at [email protected] and tell us who you would like to sit with, and we will accommodate you as much as possible. For more private conversations, we have five tables of two people.
To avoid disappointment please sign up as quickly as possible as the venue cannot be changed. Please book the ticket with the menu label of your choice per the below description.
Menu choices:
1. Vegetarian: carrot and orange watercress salad, honey and mustard dressing, followed by courgette, broad bean and pea risotto with summer truffle and ricotta.
2. Non-Vegetarian: cod and salmon fishcake with crisp salad leaves and tartar sauce, followed by roast chicken served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and cauliflower gratin.
