Join us to see the magnificent Azalea and Rhododendrum Garden at the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park at the height of its splendour in Spring.
We will meet at Putney Bridge Tube Station and take a public bus to Richmond Park, from where we will walk (15 mins) to the Isabella Plantation within Richmond Park. Here we will wander around and enjoy the huge flower display and then walk (ca. 30 mins) to Pembroke Lodge through Richmond Park to have lunch in their cafe.
After that, we will walk over to the nearby King Henry's Mound. From here we will delight in the famous and long preserved, by many generations, panoramic view across the Thames Valley and London - up to and including St. Paul's Cathedral. The sightline is tee-framed and protected.
We will then walk (15 mins) to Richmond Gate from where we will be able to catch a public bus to Richmond Station (District line and Nat. Rail)
