14 February @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

telemachus

In his second lecture David Bellingham will introduce the world of heroic adventure and monsters which makes up The Odyssey.  We will shift our attention from the theme of masculinity which runs through The Iliad to the women of the Homeric world, including Odysseus’ long-suffering but faithful wife Penelope and the series of bewitching female characters he encounters on his Mediterranean journey such as Circe and Calypso.
