KCWC Antiques and BADA Friends invite you to the final installment in our three part series on Private royal residences.
This month we are featuring the Scottish estate Balmoral. Situated Deeside, this vast property was purchased and designed by HRH Prince Albert as a home for his growing family with Queen Victoria. Finding the mountains and streams reminiscent of his German homeland, the Prince Consort set out to create a sanctuary made accessible by the growth of railways to the Scottish highlands. There amidst the elk, stags, and tartans, the royal family has summered for generations benefitting from the privacy it affords as well as the acreage allowing for subsidiary residences occupied by royal heirs in waiting!
Join us to learn about this castle reputedly the late Queen’s favourite and where, sadly, she spent her final hours dying there September, 2022.
The lecture will be recorded and available as a link to registrants unable to attend on the broadcast day.
