Box Hill Circular

2 November, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

North Downs Way fingerpost set within a woodland section of the southern England hiking route within the Surrey Hills.

This is a short but hilly walking tour (approximately 7 miles) with Catherine Ames. A couple of short cardio uphills in the morning up to Box Hill (views!) and White Hill before lunch at the King William IV pub in the pretty hamlet of Mickelham. After lunch, the walk will be through gentle fields.

The route starts by crossing the River Mole on stepping stones before going steeply up steps on the North Downs Way to the top of Box Hill to enjoy views out over the valley. The route then follows Box and Yew woods before you drop down Juniper Top, which also enjoys fine views. Walking poles come in handy on this walk.

Travel details and pub menu will be provided to participants closer to date. Registrants should plan on an all-day event, meeting at 9:00am or so at Victoria Station and returning to London around 5:00pm.

Train ticket and lunch tab not included in event ticket cost.
