Clarence House – A Zoom Tea Time Talk with Nicholas Merchant

13 November @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

CH3

Royal followers and those interested in royal residences know all about the official palaces occupied by the monarch and family. But how much do you know about their private homes, those sanctuaries or vast estates where they retreat after official business is done? Well, our friend Nicholas Merchant, in conjunction with the British Antique Dealers Association, invites us to a new series of Zoom Tea Time Talks.

Join us to learn about Clarence House. Adjacent to St. James’s Palace, and the former home of Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Clarence House is the current home of their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Learn about the home’s interior and restoration by then Prince Charles after the death of his beloved grandmother. Get a peek inside the home now favoured by the King and Queen who have chosen to reside here for their reign rather than the vast impersonal Buckingham Palace.

This lecture will be the first of a three part series continuing in December with Sandringham and concluding in February with Balmoral. If you are unable to attend on the broadcast day, a recording will be made available to all registrants.
