A lovely time and place to see the bluebells is in April, on a guided tour of the Kings Wood with Catherine Ames. This 8-mile walk in the nearby Tandrigde District of Surrey is a great opportunity to see the stunning blue carpets of the “favourite flower of Britain”, in its natural habitat of ancient woodland.
We will have lunch at the 18th-century Harrow Inn in Warlingham, before a lovely downhill walk to Woldingham Station, and a short train ride back to London.
Train ticket and lunch tab not included in ticket cost below.
Travel details and pub menu will be provided to participants closer to date; registrants should plan on an all-day event, meeting at 9:00am or so for travel by train to the starting point in Surrey, and returning to London by 5:00pm. Please advise the Activity Leader if you plan to drive.
Start your membership with an annual fee of £130* and receive access to benefits, discounts and over 30 types of activities.
