When women artists envision a different world, how does that look? Come and see!
NMWA is the first major museum in the world dedicated to showing art by women. The UK Friends of NMWA and Irene Aristizábal of BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art have selected the work of four compelling artists envisioning a different world for the future. One of these artists will be selected by NMWA to represent the UK, along with global women artists, in the forthcoming exhibition Women to Watch: New Worlds 2024, which will be held in Washington DC next year.
The selected UK artists are:
NOÉMIE GOUDAL
ALICIA REYES McNAMARA
TAI SHANI
ALBERTA WHITTLE
Please note: 100% of the ticket price will be donated to the UK Friends of the NMWA to defray the costs of mounting the show, and sending the selected UK artist to Washington DC in 2024 to represent the UK at the US exhibition.
