Downton to Gatsby: 1890-1929 Jewels and Tea with Designer Andrew Prince

29 October @ 2:15 am - 4:00 pm

Join us as we welcome jewellery designer Andrew Prince at the lovely Mayfair Townhouse for a lecture followed by afternoon tea. Andrew joins us as a complement to our earlier October meeting Edwardian Project Runway featuring the fashions of the Gilded Age. Passionate about antique jewels since he swallowed his mother’s pearl earring at 3, Andrew has successfully designed paste versions of classic pieces for many movie and tv productions including “The Young Victoria”, “Mrs.Henderson Presents”, Disney’s “Cinderella” as well as Downton Abbey episodes and films. He is a respected lecturer having spoken frequently at the Victoria and Albert Museum and other acclaimed societies. His works have been featured in British Vogue and Tatler as well as on the shoulder of Michael Jackson. Come along to try on Maggie Smith’s tiara and learn about the diva Miss Piggy, one of Andrew’s most famous clients!
