One suggestion that came up at our first meeting was to give members the choice to read a title, out of 2 or 3 suggestions, from the same author. So our discussion would focus more on the author’s approach in covering a given theme rather than a specific story.
The author we’ll be discussing this month is Kristin Hannah: she began as a romance novelist before shifting to contemporary women’s fiction, and, most recently, historical fiction. What has remained consistent throughout is her focus on strong female characters.
