Hill Garden and the Pergola was once private, owned by Lord Leverhulme, an industrialist and philanthropist associated with Sunlight Soap. It is currently looked after by the City of London. With a great deal of the original design by Thomas Mawson remaining, there is a lot to see and enjoy in our private visit led by Blue Badge guide, Anne-Marie Craven.
We will meet at Hampstead Underground Station with the walk from there a treat in itself as this was an artists’ paradise in the 19th century continuing through to the 20th.
