This drawing class is a fun, low pressure, relaxed art class for everyone from complete beginners to those who are keen to continue developing their drawing skills. The classes will cover areas such as proportion, perspective, negative space. use of tone, use of line and other skills which help develop realistic depictions and you do not have to have attended the previous terms to participate.
All materials are provided and a range of subjects will be available for you to work from each week depending on your previous experience so that everyone can progress at their own pace.
The general structure of each class is a demonstration of a set of skills and explanation of how to use the materials provided. The majority of the class time will be spent working on the assigned project while the instructor works individually with participants. Each class is a self contained unit focusing on one skill and missing one class won’t leave you behind.
Classes will be held at St Mary’s Church in West Kensington. A comfortable location with clean, spacious and heated rooms as well as access to kitchen facilities for tea/coffee.
The instructor, Robyn Lister, has taught this class several times before, most recently at the American Women’s Club of Berkshire & Surrey and has offered to donate all of her proceeds to charities identified by the Volunteers for Charity group
