Skiff Rowing on the Thames at Teddington
Following our successful skiff rowing taster session in April, we are offering another opportunity for you to try your hand at rowing a traditional Thames skiff. Rowing is a fantastic whole-body exercise and simply being out on the river is great for peace of mind.
No previous rowing experience is necessary. You’ll be in a boat with another KCWC lady and two experienced Skiff Club rowers who will show you the ropes. Skiffs are inherently stable boats, and this part of the river is beautiful at this time of year, so you can expect a fun and relaxing experience.
We’ll be on the river for approximately an hour and a half, taking it in turns to row, then we’ll finish at the Clubhouse with tea and biscuits. The Skiff Club is part of the Teddington Watersports Centre on Trowlock Way, Teddington, where there is a free car park. The nearest train station is Hampton Wick.
