Stanley Picker House – A Private Tour

17 May, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Stanley-Picker-House

Stanley Picker, born in New York in 1913, was a patron of the arts who formed a very individual collection of 20th century sculptures and paintings. These were displayed in a wonderful modern house designed by Kenneth Wood specifically to house the art works. Planned to maximise its location on a hillside, the house is split-level with a design that remains a time capsule reflective of its period, the 1960’s. It became a home where Mr. Picker enjoyed entertaining until his death in England in 1982.

Only open by appointment to select very small groups, KCWC Antiques and Design invites 4 members to join the BADA Friends for this exclusive visit. (In recognition of limited space, no KCWC Activity Leader from Antiques will accompany this visit where Anne Green of BADA will greet you.)  If you wish to extend your afternoon, an excellent traditional tea is served nearby at the Warren House Hotel where you are invited to make a separate booking at www.warrenhouse.com.
