By invitation to and courtesy of the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars, I am pleased to share this lecture from Art Scholar and renown guide/lecturer Ian Swankie. He will lead us on a wonderfully enjoyable and informative jaunt through art sales some of which in the last few years have reached astronomical sums. He will include Picasso, Cezanne, Rembrandt, Leonardo, Modigliani, Klimt, Gaughin and more. Discover not only what at minimum $100 million dollars can buy you, but fancifully too, what else you could have acquired with those dollars! Learn about the sellers, buyers, art world intrigue and – the biggest question of all –  “Are they really worth it?”  This is a rare opportunity for KCWC members. Antiques and Design invites Art History and Contemporary Art to this special programme.
