After a sold out event last spring, KCWC’s Contemporary Art Group has been invited back to the home studio of artist Sandra Shashou in Primrose Hill. Shashou, originally from Rio de Janeiro, graduated from the City & Guilds of London Art School, with a focus on painting. She first concentrated on portraiture, with a number of commissions from prominent British politicians and intellectuals. In 2013, her art practice turned to sculpture. Currently working in her preferred medium of smashed fine china, she creates a very personal body of work using the abstract shapes of the china pieces and a myriad of colours.
We will meet promptly at 10:30am to walk together to Sandra’s home studio, where she will welcome us for a tour and a discussion of her work.
