Join Torie True, author of recently published cookbook “Chilli & Mint: Indian Home Cooking From A British Kitchen”, and member of the “Guild Of Food Writers”, for a day exploring the wonderful world of Indian cuisine.
The day will start in Tooting, where Torie will guide us through various food markets, where we will explore the fragrant and colourful ingredients that we will use to cook our lunch. Once our ingredients are purchased, we will head to Torie’s kitchen in Wandsworth Common, where participants will work as a team to prepare 6 recipes, which we will then enjoy together.
Day’s Menu:
Bengali prawn curry
Spinach dal
Green bean and potato curry
Red onion pakora
Tamarind and date chutney
Chapati
Please note you will need to arrange for your own transportation to Tooting (the exact meeting point will be communicated to registered participants nearer to the date). Once on location, we can share a taxi fare from Tooting to Wandsworth Common.
