Rachel Kolsky, our London Blue Badge guide, and Jessy Cymerman in Buenos Aires, will take you on an exploration of the white slave trade, comparing and contrasting the experiences in the Jewish East End and the Jewish brothels of Argentina. From both areas emerged heroic women who tackled prostitution within the community: Lady Battersea who established The Ladies’ Association for Prevention and Rescue Work, and Raquel Liberman, a Jewish mother active in the brothels before campaigning and ultimately destroying the Jewish sex-traffic network in Argentina.
