Spanish Conversation Talk: Women Wearing Necklaces through out History

23 May @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Women necklaces through history

Join us for a talk in Spanish (all levels are welcomed as Marcela is bilingual) with international recognised necklace designer Marcela Shirazi. Marcela attended St Martin’s School of Arts and Design, as well as, glass & jewellery expert courses at the V&A. She is one of the few experts in antique glass in Great Britain. She creates unique custom made necklaces and has designed unique pieces for well known architect Zaha Hadid, artists and private collectors. Her pieces are made with semi-precious stones and antique European glass. Some of the beads she uses are over 300 years old.

In this talk, you will hear the story of women wearing necklaces such as Nefertiti, women in the Andes tribes, and the ladies of Parliament. You will learn about the history of fascinating stones and beads while enjoying coffee, cake and biscuits in a beautiful private residence reception room in Kensington.
