KCWC’s Contemporary Art Group has been invited to attend a private guided tour of Cromwell Place, London’s newest venue for art. Nearly brand new to the city’s art scene, Cromwell Place is a membership organisation offering a first-of-its-kind exhibition and working space in central London, located in the heart of South Kensington’s museum district, and housed within five Grade II listed buildings. Designed in 1858 by Sir Charles James Freake, the Victorian townhouses house 15 unique gallery spaces, permanent and shared offices, open desks, meeting rooms and viewing rooms, on-site art storage, and a members-only club room. Cromwell Place is home to some of the world’s most exciting galleries, collectors, dealers and advisors with specialties ranging from antiquities and old masters, through to the 19th Century.
Our private tour will begin with tea or coffee and pastries in the club room, where we will be introduced to Cromwell Place and receive some background on the gallery spaces, followed by a tour of a select group of galleries. Following this, you will be free to go back to the galleries on your own and/or pop into any others of interest that were not on our tour.
Start your membership with an annual fee of £130* and receive access to benefits, discounts and over 30 types of activities.
